Artist's Comments

This is some vector artwork done in Adobe Illustrator. I saw somebody wearing a similar design on a t-shirt. I never found the shirt to buy so I just made my own version of it. I used the Gradient Mesh and thought it came out pretty good, imo. Everything here is vector. I did it on purpose to see how close I could get it to what I was seeing in my head without using Photoshop.

i'm surprised nobody faved this. i like how you rendered the red buttons.

I agree! More people should be faving this! J/K

I think maybe I picked the wrong category. I tried something different to see if it gets more exposure... we'll see.

I actually like vector over photoshop.
Am I weird?
It looks awesome.

I actually prefer Vector too. I think when I use Photoshop, If I have vector lines, the artwork comes out cleaner. Photoshop does blend gradients better than Illustrator though.

I'm not that savy with gradients, but I would have to agree with you on that.
Oh on a different note.... well sorta... ,I've found if you screw up on the size, it's a lot easier to fix in illustrator than photoshop.

:iconjpsgrfx:
Definitely. Although in photoshop, you could convert some elements to "smart objects" and will resize for you no problem.

Actually, I ended up showing my boss that the other day, she had no idea!
She also didn't know that you could set the history limit higher, or that they have spell check.
Hah.

[ I had a photoshop class ]

The best new feature I've used is the Free Transform Warp tool!
